Rains likely to lash out till June 13

Bhubaneswar: The IMD had predicted five days of rains in Odisha till June 13. This is because of the two cyclonic circulations that are active over the Bay of Bengal.
One of the cyclonic circulation has developed over the North western Bay of Bengal and the adjoining coastal Odisha. The other one is active over the South eastern and the adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal. As an impact of it rainfall in the state will continue till June 13.
At several places in Odisha, thunderstorm, lightning and heavy rains can be expected. Several districts of the state have been issued a warning till June 15.
As many as 21 districts have been issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning. Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Ganjam districts were given yellow warning. For the next 6 to 7 days there will be no drastic change in the maximum temperature said the regional MeT.
As a result of the cyclonic circulation, humid air will enter Odisha. As a result humidity will increase in the state especially in coastal parts while the temperature will increase mostly in the central parts of the state.
