Ratha Jatra coordination meeting to be held today

Puri: Rath Yatra Coordination meeting to be held in Puri today. The meeting will be held at Puri Municipal Hall at 11 am.  Administrative preparations to regulate Mahaprabhu’s world-famous Ghosha Yatra on the 27th have begun.

Today, the second Rath Coordination Committee meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the Law Minister.

In this meeting, the departmental officers will submit the action plan report of their respective departments. Starting from chariot construction, how Rath Yatra can be regulated, how the rituals can be regulated, systematic darshan for devotees, legal and Rath Yatra arrangements will be discussed.

The meeting will be attended by the Collector, SP, MLA, administrative officers of the temple, servitors, intellectuals and media representatives.

Meanwhile, after one day on Jun 11, the famous Snana Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be held in the temple. After leaving the Ratnavedi, the deities will take a holy bath on the Snana Mandap, the bathing altar. The idols will be given a holy bath in 108 pitchers of fragrant water.

Today, on the thirteenth tithi (Trayodashi), the Daitapati servitos will enter the temple and perform the rituals until the end of the Rath Yatra.
