Covid graph on rise in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Corona graph is on a rise in India. The number of Covid positive cases have crossed the 4000 mark in the country and stand at 4026 on June 3.

The number of Corona cases in the state is also rising. Ahead of Rath Yatra 2025, the Health Department is at its wits end for the rising Covid cases in Odisha. The Public Health Director Dr Nilakantha Mishra said that a high-level meeting for Covid management during Rath Yatra will be conducted soon.

The Health Department has urged the people of Odisha to remain alert. They have asked the people to obey the standard protocols.

People have been asked not to visit crowded places. Period hand washing along with the use of gloves and masks have been advised.

As of now, 15 covid positive cases have been identified in Odisha. Testing kits will be provided to all districts. In severe cases, testing has been conducted.

Despite the facility for RTPCR kits, the testing kits were in majority used for testing. The Jan Swasthya (Public Health) Director said that many kits have been allotted for Odisha and will reach the state soon.
