Low pressure to develop today over BoB

Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area will develop in the Bay of Bengal today. The low pressure is likely to form over the adjoining North Bay of Bengal. It will intensify further. As a result rainfall in the state is likely to continue for 4 days.
Starting from today, the rainfall is likely to continue till May 30. Similarly, a trough line is also active in the area.
Thunderstorm, lightning and heavy rainfall along with gusty wind speed of 30 to 40 kmph. The IMD had issued yellow warning for the same. Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi and Kandhamal may experience heavy rainfall.
The Pre-monsoon rains are continuing in the state. However, there is no possibility of cyclone formation as is being reported on social media.
