Padampur Result: BJD Maintains Lead After 5th Round

Padampur: After the completion of fifth round of vote counting for the Padampur by-election, BJD candidate Barsha Singh Bariha has secured 26,198 votes. As per latest trends, BJP’s Pradip Purohit has bagged 17816 and is trailing by a margin of 8382 votes against Bariha.

On the other hand, Congress candidate Satya Bhusan Sahu has got only 845 votes at the end of the fifth round. The counting process will be completed in a total of 23 rounds.

Notably, the Padampur by-poll, which was held on December 5, had witnessed a massive voter turnout of 81.29 percent which is the highest in the constituency so far.
