Newsman Ranjan Mohanty is No More

Bhubaneswar: Senior newsman Ranjan Mohanty, who was a part of Odia daily ‘Sambad’, passed away in Mayurbhanj district. He was suffering from liver and kidney ailments. Ranjan was Sambad’s representative in Betnoti block of Mayurbhanj.

After retiring from the armed forces, he began his Journalism career with daily newspaper ‘Amari Katha’. He was also president of the journalists association in Betnoti block.

Sources said that after developing diabetes, he was suffering from various ailments related to liver and kidney for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at Jyoti Hospital in Baleswar and then at SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
