High Court Disposes Anticipatory Bail Plea of Babushan

Cuttack (Reporters Today Bureau): The Orissa High Court today disposed of the anticipatory bail petition of actor Tanmay Mohanty (Babushan) in connection with a complaint filed by his wife Trupti Satpathy over marital discord.

The court disposed of the anticipatory bail plea as Babushan was cooperating in the investigation. The public prosecutor and the defending counsel apprised the court. Kharavel Nagar police in Bhubaneswar had filed a case against Babushan on the basis of a complaint filed by Trupti. In her complaint, Trupti had alleged mental torture by Babushaan and his friend Prakruti Mishra.

The police had summoned Babushan for interrogation. The actor accompanied by his actress mother Aparajita had appeared before the police for questioning a few days ago. Fearing arrest, the actor had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the High Court.
