Former Japan PM Sinzo Abe shot at

New Delhi, July 8(Reporters Today Bureau): Former Japanese Prime Minister Sinzo Abe was shot at and grieviously wounded by a lone gunman in souther Japanese city of Nara on Friday morning.
According to local media reports doctors were trying their best to revive the former prime minister.
However, initial reports said the worst is feared.
Abe was shot at twice while he was giving a speech. He immediately collapsed and was rushed to the nearest hospital. Pictures taken at the scene showed him bleeding.
The security officials at the scene tackled the gunman, and the 41-year-old suspect is now in police custody.
