Delta Plus Scare: Epidemiology Team Sent to Deogarh

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau):  As part of immediate preventive measures after detection of the first Delta Plus Variant in the State, the Government sent an epidemiology team to Deogarh, where the patient has been hospitalised.

The team will examine health condition of the infectee and conduct contact tracing. The officials will also verify condition of those, who came in contact with him recently and if they were vaccinated.

Director of Health Services Bijay Mohapatra said the Delta Plus variant infectee was vaccinated on March  30 but later contracted the virus after coming in contact with a person infected by the virus. Further details awaited.
