Bank Strike: Over 5500 Branches To Remain shut in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: On March 15 (Monday) and March 16 (Tuesday), More than 5500 bank branches in Odisha will remain closed as a part of the two-day nationwide bank strike and Over 30,000 bank employees of the state are participating in the strike

The strike has called by the United Forum of Bank Union (UFBU) against the privatisation of public sector banks and retrograde banking reforms.

Due to the strike Services at bank branches like deposit, withdrawal, cheque clearance, and loan approvals would be affected. However, there is a relief that ATMs will work.
