Former Minister Jagannath Rout is No More

(Pramit Pramathes) Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Minister Jagannath Rout passed away following heart attack at a private hospital in the state capital today. He was 78.
He was undergoing treatment at Care Hospital in Bhubaneswar. Born in Narasinghapur Village under Dhusuri block in Bhadrak, the politician was elected thrice to Odisha Legislative Assembly from Dhamnagar.
He had first won the Assembly election from Dhamnagar on Congress ticket in the year 1980. Again, he won the polls in 1985 and 1995 Assembly elections. Jagannath had held key portfolios as the minister during Congress term.
