Aadhaar Linking must for govt scheme beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar: Now to get beneficiaries of different government schemes which are partly or fully funded by the Consolidated Fund of the State, needy families have to provide Aadhaar card details mandatorily to avail the benefits.

This step of government will help to verify the actual beneficiaries to avail the benefits of government schemes.

The State finance department has written to Additional Chief Secretary and secretaries of all departments to follow the guidelines prepared by the Centre on the basis of Section 7 of Aadhaar Act 2016. Also, the departments have been asked to notify the guidelines for specific Central schemes under the Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act as published by the Central Ministries.
