Clerk captured on camera for taking bribe in Bolangir

(Reporters Today, Bhubaneswar): A clerk of the Labour Department in Bolangir district was caught on camera while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1000 from a person.

According to sources, the clerk demanded Rs 1000 from a person to issue labour licence chalan. Meanwhile, a social activist who was also present at the spot recorded the entire scenario in the camera.

Later, the video posted on the social media went viral. Stringent action will be taken against the accused clerk as per the government directives, the senior official of the department said.
