Paradip cop selected for Prez medal

Surjit Kumar Dhal, Paradip, August 17: The Ministry of Home Affairs has selected Rajanikant Samal, IIC Paradip Model Police Station from Odisha for the President’s Police Medal for his distinguished and meritorious service.The award will be given on 26th January, 2020 on the occasion of Republic Day.

Notably, the President’s Police Medal is a decoration to members of law enforcement agencies in India.Established on March 1, 1951,the medal was originally called the President’s Police and Fire Service Medal. It is awarded for either gallantry or distinguished service, with the gallantry version of the medal being accorded a higher precedence.People have congratulated Samal.
