Angul police arrests rape accused

Surjit Kumar Dhal, Angul, July 24: Sibu Pattanaik , the accused of the much discussed Rape and attempt to murder of a minor girl at Angul has been arrested, SP Mitrabhanu Mohapatra informed the media here on Tuesday.

The victim,  who hails from a  travelling community and was living with her other family members near Angul bus stand for few  days was allegedly raped near an ahar center in Angul bus stand.

Later, the miscreant had thrown her near a drain in a critical condition.

The victim was shifted to Cuttack SCB medical College and Hospital for treatment.
