One held with brown sugar in Khordha

Surjit Kumar Dhal, Khordha, June 26: Khordha Excise Department squad along with mobile squad from Bhubaneswar raided several places in Gurujanga, Dewan Sahi and Khordha and seized 17gram brown sugar from one person.

The arrested accused has been identified as Chhabindra Pradhan who has been booked under NDPS Act.

He was later produced before the Special Judicial Magistrate, Khordha who rejected his bail plea.

The value of seized contraband is nearly Rs 2 lakh.
