BJP demands ouster of non-voters from Kendrapara LS constituency

Surjit Kumar Dhal, BHUBANESWAR, APRIL 28: Bharatiya Janata Party State unit Saturday demanded ouster of all 97 BJD leaders, ministers and ‘hooligans’ from the Kendrapara Lok Sabha constituency where they are busy in illegal activities like intimidating people and distributing money in violation of tne Model Code of Conduct.
A petition submitted to the CEO by a party delegation led by vice-president Samir Mohanty cited Section 8 of the MCC which says that non-voters of a constituency must leave the area before 48 hours of polling and demanded immediate action in the interest of free and fair polling.
In another petition to the CEO, BJP alleged entry of a Mahindra Bolero with unidentified people in the strong room area of Keonjhar Mining School where all EVMs are stored.
The petition demanded deployment of Central security forces and CC TV cameras at all strong rooms in the State to ward off suspicious activities.
