OLIC SDO in vigilance net

Surjit kumar Dhal, Cuttack, March 17: tioOdisha Lift Irrigation Corporan (OLIC) Sub-Division Umerkote Sub-divisional Officer Bharat Kumar Mandal has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance Koraput Division for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.8,000 from one complainant  Sunadhar Pakul of Village- Pupuldihi, PS- Raighar, Dist- Nabarangpur for issuing feasibility report for installation of Bore well in  respect of the complainant and three others.

Accordingly, a trap was laid on March 16 at 1.30 PM.

The bribe money was recovered  from the pant pocket of Mandal and seized in presence of witnesses.

His both hands wash as well as pant pocket wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him.

His house at native Village- Chakrada, PS- Basta, Dist- Balasore, building at Balasore Town and  rented residential house at Umerkote were being searched.

 He has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.
