Fresh Landslide Hits Kalinga Ghati, Traffic Disrupted Between Ganjam and Kandhamal

Ganjam: A fresh landslide near Andharikota on the Kalinga Ghati stretch has disrupted vehicular movement along the key road connecting Ganjam and Kandhamal districts.

Massive rock boulders rolled down the hillside onto the road, raising safety concerns among commuters travelling through the narrow hilly corridor.

The incident occurred while repair and restoration work following an earlier landslide on the same stretch was still underway. The recurring rockfalls have heightened concerns over commuter safety and the disruption of essential transportation along the route.

Administrative teams and clearance machinery have been deployed to remove the debris and restore safe vehicular movement. Authorities have advised commuters to exercise extreme caution while travelling through the affected stretch as clearance and precautionary measures continue.
