Neeru Dhanda, Kynan Chenai Win Mixed Trap Gold with Asian Record

India struck gold again at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Wednesday as Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai clinched the mixed trap team title with an Asian record.
The Indian pair topped the four-team final with 34 points, according to India_AllSports. They had earlier advanced to the final with a combined score of 136 in qualification.
For 26-year-old Neeru, it was her second gold of the Games. She had won the women’s individual trap gold on Tuesday, becoming the first Indian woman to claim an individual Asian Games title in trap shooting. She also won silver in the women’s trap team event.
Kynan Chenai, born in 1991, added experience to the pairing. He was part of India’s gold-winning men’s trap team at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and also won individual bronze.
The gold added to a strong day for India, which also secured compound archery golds in the mixed team event.
