PM Modi Calls BRICS a Solution-Oriented Platform

The 18th BRICS Summit concluded in New Delhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling for stronger cooperation and timely implementation of the decisions taken by the grouping.In his closing address, PM Modi said BRICS is more than a group of countries and has evolved into an “ecosystem of solutions.” He stressed that the diversity of member nations should remain the grouping’s strength, while cooperation and progress should serve the broader interests of humanity.

Referring to the New Delhi Declaration adopted at the summit, Modi said it would help provide direction for future cooperation and a shared vision. He also emphasised the need to convert summit outcomes into time-bound actions that create a meaningful impact at the grassroots level.

Earlier, in his opening remarks, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of building resilience within BRICS. He noted that pandemics, climate-related disasters and disruptions in global supply chains have demonstrated that crises in today’s interconnected world can quickly affect regions far beyond their point of origin.
