Fire breaks out at Sreeleathers showroom in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A massive fire that broke out in Sreeleathers showroom near Rajmahal Square in Bhubaneswar early in the morning has been brought under control.

The incident is believed to be caused by a short circuit.

Multiple fire teams responded immediately and jointly launched an operation to douse the flames, which were successfully controlled after several hours.

According to reports, the fire was reported around 5 am.

Firefighting teams from Bhubaneswar Fire Station, Secretariat Fire Station and CISF fire team rushed to the spot and worked together to contain the fire spread to the nearby shops.

No loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.

Preliminary investigation points towards a short circuit as the cause of fire, however, official investigation would confirm it.

Meanwhile, officials are assessing the extent of damages at the showroom and investigation is on.
