Goat Thieves brutally beaten by mob in Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Three alleged thieves were brutally beaten by a mob after they were caught stealing goats in Koilijhar village under the Chandiposh police station limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.
According to sources, four youths arrived in the village in a car to allegedly steal goats. However, they were caught by the local residents. One of the four youths allegedly jumped into the nearby Brahmani river while trying to flee and got swept away by the strong current and remains missing.
Meanwhile, the other three miscreants were surrounded by the villagers and got severely thrashed. All the three thieves have sustained critical injuries.
Police rescued the three severely beaten youths and rushed them to the Rourkela Government Hospital, from where they were later transferred to JP Hospital for advanced medical care due to their deteriorating condition.
Personnel from the local police and Fire Services launched an intense search operation to locate the missing fourth youth, who jumped into the river.
