ATM ripped out, cash looted in Balasore

Balasore: Unidentified criminals allegedly decamped with cash after uprooting an ATM from Tudigadia market in Khaira police station area of Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday night.

The miscreants pulled the ATM machine out of the kiosk using a vehicle and a rope before dragging it for a few metres along the road.

Some of the CCTV footage in the locality purportedly shows the ATM machine being dragged by a car. It is suspected that at least five to six people were involved in the incident.

On receiving the information, Khaira police rushed to the spot, recovered the vandalised ATM machine and started investigation.

The CCTV footage and other relevant evidence are being analyzed to identify the culprits and the exact amount of cash withdrawn.

The local people are in panic, and police are following various leads.
