Excise department seizes Ganja-laden truck in Bhubaneswar, three arrested

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Excise Department seized a truck carrying a large quantity of ganja during a raid in Bhubaneswar and arrested three persons allegedly involved in the smuggling operation.
Intelligence inputs lead an Excise crew to halt the questionable truck at a police station.
Based on this specific lead, the Excise crew stopped the truck at Shaheed Nagar police station, where they seized a considerable volume of ganja from it.
As indicated by initial interrogations, the truck was transporting the prohibited drug outside Odisha.
An Excise search on a truck found a significant volume of ganja concealed inside.
They captured three alleged traffickers and confiscated the vehicle on-site.
As the Odisha Excise Department proceeds with its rigorous investigations into the source of the seized marijuana, the truck was confiscated, and all three detainees were arrested at the scene.
The quantity and estimated value of the drugs seized by the officers are yet to be calculated.
This will involve looking for its intended destination and any others engaged in the Interstate Drug Trafficking.
Three individuals detained are currently being questioned. Additional raids may be anticipated.
