Sandalwood tree stolen from temple in Narsinghpur

Narsinghpur: The problem of sandalwood theft has re-emerged in Narsinghpur, as miscreants have allegedly cut and stolen a sandalwood tree from the premises of Gupteswar temple at Kokolaba.
As per reports, the tree was felled by thieves late in the night and carried away, so no one even noticed the loss.
The loss was only noticed in the morning and had put the local residents as well as the authorities of the temple in worry.
Following which, local police reached the spot and launched an investigation to this matter.
Adding to this is the fact that just three days prior to this event, a sandalwood tree had been stolen from Narsinghpur college.
Many residents fear it is part of a highly coordinated gang operating and want stricter vigilance measures in place and for action to be taken.
