Gold, silver ornaments worth Rs 25 lakh looted from house in Kendrapara

Aul: In a shocking incident in Aul area of Odisha’s Kendrapara district, a group of 12 armed robbers allegedly looted gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 25 lakh from a house after threatening them with sharp weapons.

The robbery took place at the house of Dhaneswar Rout in Khandiapatana village under the jurisdiction of Aul police station in Kendrapara.

According to sources, the looter gang rushed into the house armed with deadly weapons from the back door and locked all of the house people after threatening them by putting a sharp weapon on one of the family members.

Then the accused reportedly broke open an almirah locker inside the house and looted the gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 25 lakh along with cash worth Rs 91,000. Then they fled from the area.

The police has reached the spot and is investigating the incident.
