Miscreants Break Locks at Benimadhab Temple in Balasore, Loot Gold Ornaments and Cash

A major temple loot shocked Balasore district after miscreants broke into Benimadhab temple in Gobarghata village under Jaleswar police limits late Saturday night.


The thieves stole gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees along with cash from the donation box.

Local residents discovered the temple gate broken on Sunday morning and immediately informed the Jaleswar police. Officers reached the spot and began an investigation. Police confirmed that the culprits broke the locks, entered the sanctum, and looted valuables.

Authorities said the stolen items included gold ornaments used for rituals and offerings, as well as cash donations collected in the temple’s box. The incident has sparked outrage among devotees and villagers, who demanded strict action against those responsible.
