Two Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree in Koraput District

Bhubaneswar: Two persons lost their lives after a car crashed into a mango tree on the Nandapur–Padua Road in Odisha’s Koraput district late on Thursday night.
The deceased have been identified as Laba Khara of Golur village and Anant Pangi of Khudub village. Both were occupants of the vehicle, including the driver.

According to reports, the car was traveling from Nandapur to Padua when the driver allegedly lost control near Ambaguda, causing the vehicle to ram into a roadside mango tree. The collision was severe, leaving the car extensively damaged and trapping the occupants inside.
On receiving information, personnel from the Nandapur Fire Department, led by Assistant Station Officer Hemant Kumar Samal along with Prakash Kisan, rushed to the spot and carried out a rescue operation. The team broke open the car windows to extricate the victims and immediately shifted them to the Nandapur Community Health Centre.
However, doctors at the health centre declared both individuals dead on arrival.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
