Balasore Sadar Block Chairperson Sunita Behera Resigns from BJD

Bhubaneswar: Sunita Behera, Chairperson of Balasore Sadar Block, has resigned from the primary membership of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

In her resignation letter addressed to BJD president Naveen Patnaik, Behera stated that she stepped down due to personal reasons and circumstances.

Behera mentioned that she had been associated with the party for several years and had worked as a disciplined member to strengthen the organisation while serving the people of Balasore Sadar block. However, she said certain personal factors compelled her to take the difficult decision to quit the party.

Describing her association with the BJD as a memorable journey, Behera expressed gratitude to the state leadership, party colleagues and workers in Balasore district for their support, respect and opportunities during her tenure.

Her resignation comes a day after former Balasore Lok Sabha MP Rabindra Kumar Jena also resigned from the primary membership of the BJD. In his resignation letter to Naveen Patnaik, Jena had similarly cited personal reasons and circumstances for stepping down from the party.
