CM Mohan Majhi Pays Tribute to Pulwama Martyrs on Anniversary of Terror Attack

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday paid heartfelt tribute to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, 2019.

Remembering the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs, the Chief Minister expressed deep gratitude and reverence for their service to the nation. Taking to his X handle, Majhi wrote, “Tribute to the brave heroes who laid down their lives in Pulwama on this day in 2019. Their sacrifice and service to the Nation will forever be remembered with profound gratitude and reverence.”

It may be recalled that Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed one of the deadliest terror attacks in the region’s history on February 14, 2019. A convoy of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was targeted on the Srinagar–Jammu National Highway, killing 40 personnel.

The convoy comprised 78 buses carrying around 2,500 security personnel travelling from Jammu to Srinagar when a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into one of the buses.

Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed had claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was carried out by a suicide attacker.

The Pulwama attack had sparked nationwide outrage and remains a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by security forces in safeguarding the country.
