One Killed, Two Injured in Violent Clash in Sonepur District

Bhubaneswar: A man was stabbed to death and two others sustained serious injuries during a violent clash at Binika in Odisha’s Sonepur district.

The deceased has been identified as Somanath Meher, a resident of Nuapada. According to preliminary reports, the incident stemmed from a minor dispute that escalated into a violent confrontation.

The two injured persons were first admitted to a nearby hospital and later referred to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) for advanced treatment as their condition was reported to be critical.

On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the dispute that led to the fatal attack.
