Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav Assumes Charge as DA&FE Commissioner
Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, IAS, assumed charge today as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment (DA&FE) at Krushi Bhavan.
Soon after taking office, he convened a review meeting with senior officers to assess the progress of various departmental schemes. During the meeting, he emphasised the need to make all initiatives farmer-centric.
Furthermore, he directed officials to focus on enhancing farmers’ income through the effective implementation of programs. He stressed that every scheme must deliver tangible benefits to cultivators and strengthen agricultural sustainability in Odisha.
Additionally, Jadhav urged the department to adopt innovative approaches and ensure transparency in execution. He highlighted the importance of aligning departmental efforts with the broader goal of empowering farmers and improving rural livelihoods.
In conclusion, his assumption of charge marks a renewed push for farmer-focused governance, with clear instructions to prioritise income growth and welfare across the agricultural sector.
