Driver Survives After Car Plunges Off Flyover Near Shishu Bhavan in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A dramatic accident in Bhubaneswar on Monday morning caused panic after a car crashed into the barricade of the Shishu Bhavan overbridge and plunged off the flyover, narrowly missing houses in a nearby slum area.

According to reports, the car was moving at high speed when it rammed into the barricade, broke through the barrier, and fell from the flyover. During the fall, the vehicle struck a tree before finally landing on the roof of a nearby house.

In a miraculous escape, the driver survived the crash. He was rescued from the mangled vehicle with injuries and is reported to be out of danger. No other casualties were reported in the incident.

Vehicular movement in the area was temporarily disrupted following the accident. The case falls under the jurisdiction of Capital Police Station. Police personnel reached the spot soon after being informed and have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the mishap.

The incident triggered panic among local residents, who later expressed relief that the accident did not result in any loss of life.
