Car rams into PCR van in capital

Bhubaneswar: A car rammed into a patrolling Police Control Room (PCR) vehicle at Acharya Vihar in Bhubaneswar on Friday night, causing damage to the vehicle and injuring two people.

The incident took place when the PCR van was engaged in routine night patrolling.

As per sources, the speeding car hit the PCR vehicle. The impact was so severe that one side of the PCR van was crushed. At the time of the incident, police personnel were present inside the PCR vehicle. Following which PCR van driver and police personnel were seriously injured.

They were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police probe is underway.
