Cuttack: Body of youth found from Mahanadi

Cuttack: The body of a youth has been recovered from Mahanadi River in Cuttack of Odisha on Wednesday. The body was found in the River water near the boat club near Brajabiharipur. It has been suspected as a case of murder.

Though the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, he is said to be from Tulasipur area under the Cantonment police station limits.

It has been suspected that the miscreants killed the youth and threw him in Mahanadi. After the murder, they tied his hands and feet and stuffed him in a sack bag and threw him in Mahanadi. The body was found from Mahanadi near the boat club near Brajabiharipur.

The Bidanasi police are investigating the case. Two persons have been detained in this connection.

It has been suspected that he was murdered due to land dispute.
