Two Youths Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Kalahandi

Bhubaneswar: Two youths lost their lives in a road accident near Bhalupada village under the jurisdiction of Kokasara police station in Odisha’s Kalahandi district late on Friday night.
The deceased have been identified as Bablu Nayak and Amarendra Majhi, both residents of Kendudongari village in the district. They were returning on a motorcycle after attending a wedding ceremony at Bhainripali village.

According to police sources, the accident occurred on the Sunamal–Bhalupada road when the motorcycle reportedly lost control while negotiating a sharp turn near Bhalupada. Both riders were thrown off the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries, leading to their death on the spot.
Local residents spotted the bodies lying on the roadside on Saturday morning and immediately informed the Kokasara police. A police team rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies, and sent them to Koksara Community Health Centre (CHC) for post-mortem examination.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
