Night temperatures to rise, fog to engulf coastal districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is bracing for a cold spell in the next 24 hours, with the Meteorological Department forecasting no significant change in night temperatures. However, temperatures are expected to rise by 2-4°C over the next few days.

The state is still feeling the effects of cold in some districts, with Angul, Jharsuguda, and Jagatsinghpur experiencing cold wave conditions.

Phulbani recorded the lowest temperature at 5.5°C, while G. Udayagiri dropped to 2.5°C. Coastal and north Odisha districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh, will experience light to moderate fog.

Bhubaneswar recorded a high of 28.4°C and a low of 10.7°C in last 24 hours, while Cuttack’s minimum temperature was 10.2°C. Winter’s chill is unlikely to subside soon.
