Mayurbhanj shivers in bitter cold as temperature drops to -2 Degrees Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Mayurbhanj is freezing as the mercury has dropped below zero degrees Celsius for last two days since the temperature in the district was recorded -1°C. On Friday, the mercury plunged further to -2°C.

Due to the sub zero temperature, snowfall was witnessed in various parts of Shimlipal National park.

The freezing cold has continued in Karanjia, Shukruli, Rarua, Jashipur and Thakurmunda along with the areas near Shimlipal.
As of 6 am today, the minimum temperature in Upper Barakamuda of Shimlipal was -2°C, 2°C in Chahala and 1°C in Gudigudi, RCCF has informed.
