Bhubaneswar experiences heavy fog, flights delayed

Bhubaneswar: The capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar has been experiencing dense fog for the past two days as predicted by the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Although the night temperatures across the state have slightly increased, heavy fog continues and  causing disruptions in daily life and transportation. Visibility has been severely affected, making travel challenging, especially during the early morning hours.

Air travel has been significantly impacted due to the fog. Over ten flights were delayed at the Bhubaneswar airport this morning, with most delays lasting nearly two hours. Poor visibility caused by the dense fog made it difficult for flights to take off on schedule.

Flights bound for major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Prayagraj, and Hyderabad faced delays, affecting numerous passengers. Many travelers reported inconvenience as their journey schedules were disrupted and departure times were rescheduled.

Meanwhile the airport authorities have advised passengers to check their flight timings in advance and reach the airport accordingly. The weather department has predicted that the fog may continue for the next few days. Motorists and travelers are urged to remain cautious and alert while traveling during the foggy mornings.
