Bargarh Dhanuyatra to kick off from today

Bargarh: The 78th edition of the iconic Bargarh Dhanuyatra is set to kick off in Bargarh district of Odisha from today that is December 24, 2025. The world famous festival will be held for a total of 11 days from December 24, 2025 till January 3, 2026.
The Bargarh city has come alive for the 11-day festival as the town has transformed into the mythological land of Mathura and AMabapali has become Gopapura, the land where Lord Krishna was brought up.
The whole town has been decked up with decorative arches, towering stage structures to welcome thousands of visitors.
The main stage of the festival, the majestic Kansa Durbar, has been built in Hatpada. The stage is a massive 70 feet high and 120 feet width structure. The grand court is being crafted by 55 artisans. The Dhanu Yatra festival will officially begin at 7 pm. Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit and MLA Ashwini Kumar Pramakh will join the inaugural ceremony of the festival today.
