Odisha to shiver in intense cold wave for next 3 days

Bhubaneswar: The people of Odisha are suffering from bone-chilling cold for the past few days as cold wave continues to sweep over the state. The people will continue to experience the intense cold wave for the next three days. predicted the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center.
Under the influence of the cold wave, the minimum night temperature has dropped below 10 degrees in at least 11 cities of the state. The minimum temperature in G. Udayagiri of Kandhamal district was recorded at 4.3 degrees. The minimum temperature in north-interior Odisha has remained 5 to 6 degrees below normal, while the temperature in south coastal Odisha is 3 to 4 degrees below normal.
The cold wave will continue to batter Odisha as cold dry air is blowing from the northwest. The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave warning for three districts including Sundargarh, Angul and Jharsuguda for today.
The regional Meteorological Department has estimated that the cold wave conditions will continue until the 20th of next month. The streets look deserted every morning as people prefer to stay indoors due to the intense cold and dense fog.
