Two Killed as Speeding Trailer Truck Hits Bike on NH-143 in Sundargarh

Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed after a speeding trailer truck rammed into their motorcycle on National Highway 143 under Lahunipada police limits in Sundargarh district on Saturday.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be established. According to reports, the victims were travelling from Rajaumda on a bike when the trailer truck struck them from behind, dragging and crushing them under its wheels.

The incident triggered tension in the area, with locals staging a brief protest and raising an uproar over the accident.

Police personnel reached the spot promptly, brought the situation under control, and cleared the road for traffic movement. An investigation into the incident is underway.
