Deadline Extended for Post-Matric Scholarship Applications

Bhubaneswar: The ST & SC Development Department has extended the application deadline for the Post-Matric Scholarship for the academic year 2025-26. The initiative aims to support students from ST, SC, OBC/SEBC and EBC communities so they can continue their higher education without financial barriers.

According to the department, eligible students must apply or renew their scholarship forms through the Odisha State Scholarship Portal. The revised timeline provides more flexibility for applicants to complete the process smoothly.

As per the updated schedule, the deadline for student-level submissions is now December 31, 2025. Institutions will have time to verify and approve applications on the institute-level portal until January 15, 2026. Further, district authorities can complete their scrutiny on the district-level portal by January 31, 2026.

Officials have advised students to avoid waiting until the final date to submit their applications, as last-minute technical issues may cause delays.

The Post-Matric Scholarship covers key educational expenses such as tuition fees, maintenance allowance and other related costs, providing crucial financial support to students pursuing post-secondary and higher education.
