Central Range Police Check 1,749 Vehicles, Collect ₹8.75 Lakh in Fines

Bhubaneswar: The Central Range Police carried out extensive naka and patrolling checks across seven districts on November 28, 2025, inspecting a total of 1,749 vehicles and collecting ₹8,75,000 in fines for various traffic violations.

According to official data, Puri district recorded 300 vehicle checks with fines amounting to ₹1,68,000, while Khordha reported the highest fine collection at ₹5,37,500 from 124 checks. Nayagarh conducted the highest number of inspections (495), collecting ₹64,000. Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jajpur, and Jagatsinghpur also carried out significant enforcement activities.

A total of 135 photos of violations were shared as part of the monitoring process, reinforcing efforts to ensure compliance with traffic norms.

The Central Range Police stated that the drive aims to strengthen road safety enforcement and reduce violations across the region.
