BSE Odisha Extends Deadline for HSC Exam 2026 Form Fill-Up to November 28

Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has extended the deadline for filling up forms for the High School Certificate (HSC) Examinations-2026. Schools and students can now complete the process until November 28, the board announced today.

The extension comes in response to requests from several schools. The BSE clarified that no further extension will be granted beyond the new deadline.

Earlier, the board had allowed regular and ex-regular students to fill up forms for HSC (Matric), SOSC (1st), and Madhyama examinations from November 8 to 22 through its official website.

Previous Year Statistics

In 2025, a total of 5,02,417 students appeared for the matric exams, of whom 4,84,863 cleared the tests, recording a pass percentage of 94.93%.

In comparison, 5,39,152 students appeared in 2024 and 5,29,209 passed, resulting in a higher pass percentage of 96.27%.

According to BSE data, 17,384 students failed the HSC exams in 2025, while 9,701 students had failed in 2024.
