Rayagada Celebrates Birsa Munda’s 150th Jayanti

Rayagada: On the occasion of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary and Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas, a district-level celebration was held in Rayagada today. Hon’ble Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, along with local MLAs and district officials, graced the event with their presence.

Speaking on the significance of the day, the leaders emphasized that Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas is not merely a remembrance of history but a commitment to ensuring equal rights, equal opportunities, and equal respect for tribal communities.

They highlighted how the government is prioritizing the inclusion of tribal brothers and sisters into the mainstream of society and development through various initiatives in education, livelihood, economy, and healthcare.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed special focus on the welfare and upliftment of tribal communities, and both the Central and State governments are actively implementing multiple schemes and measures aimed at empowering tribal populations across the nation.
