Ekamra Baliyatra Festival to Be Held in Bhubaneswar from November 5 to 12

Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited Ekamra Baliyatra Festival will be held in Bhubaneswar from November 5 to 12, celebrating Odisha’s rich maritime heritage and cultural vibrancy.
A preparatory meeting for the annual festival was held at the Circuit House under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Rudranarayan Mohanty, where officials reviewed key aspects of planning and execution.

The festival, organized jointly by the Ekamra Baliyatra Committee and the district administration, will take place near Bankual on the Daya riverbank. The venue will come alive with traditional crafts, cultural programs, and food stalls, offering visitors a vibrant glimpse of the region’s heritage.
During the meeting, officials discussed crucial arrangements including road repairs, lighting, parking management, food safety, sanitation, medical facilities, security, traffic regulation, and CCTV surveillance. The ADM directed all departments to ensure smooth coordination and safety during the event.
Daily cultural performances showcasing local art and talent will be a key attraction of this year’s festival. Emphasizing teamwork, ADM Mohanty urged officials and organizers to work in unison to make the event a grand success.
Among those present at the meeting were ACP Kamal Lochan Bhuyan, Bhubaneswar Block President Nirupama Sahu, BDO Devi Prasad Mohanty, Committee Secretary Kabiraj Swain, Organizer Manoj Paschimkabat, and other senior officials.
