Odia medical student sexually assaulted in West Bengal, CM Majhi talks to victim

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi spoke to the Odia medical student who was sexually assaulted in West Bengal’s Durgapur. He also spoke to the mother of the Odia medical student and the State Women’s Commission Chairperson Shovana Mohanty, who was present there.
According to reports, the Chief Minister assured that the state government will provide all support required. The Chief Minister also promised to provide speedy punishment to the accused.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi wished the victim a speedy recovery. The victim is currently undergoing treatment. Earlier, the Chief Minister also spoke to the victim’s father.
Meanwhile, Odisha State Women’s Commission Chairperson Shovana Mohanty said that the victim is currently undergoing treatment. “I request West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to ensure that she gets the best medical care. Those responsible for such a heinous crime should be tried in a fast track court to provide speedy justice,” she added.
