Toddler Drowns After Falling Into Water-Filled Bucket in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: In a tragic incident, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl died after accidentally falling into a water-filled bucket at Koi village under Dabugam police limits in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as Limabati, was reportedly playing in the backyard of her house around 4:30 PM when she slipped and fell into the bucket. Her family members began searching for her and were shocked to find her motionless inside the water-filled container.

She was immediately rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Dabugam, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Following a formal complaint filed by the child’s father, Bisu Pujari, police recovered the body and initiated an investigation into the incident. After conducting the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the grieving family.

Bisu Pujari, who has two daughters and a son, was left devastated by the sudden loss of his youngest daughter.
